原生林を背負った南側に水庭をつくり、林を縫って入る光を水面に反射させ、室内の奥深くまで導いている。北側は開口を満月の軌道となる北東に向けて取り、札幌の夜景とともに月を最上階の部屋から眺める。

Beneath a primeval forest of a mountain in the south, one of the themes of this house is the beautiful light through the trees. Especially, the meridian light is essential for the south part of the building adjacent to the water garden, where the water reflects and introduces the light coming from the forest into deep inside the space.
